Maternity Pictures!!

Shawn and I got our maternity pictures taken about a week ago. Our photographer was amazing. She is so artistic and really captured some sweet moments. She is also doing our baby pictures which I can barely wait for. I know she is going to do an amazing job. Here are a few pictures she posted on her blog. I can't wait to get the CD so I can post some of my favorites.

Hannah's Nursery!!!

I love the shelf and can't wait to put pictures of her up there!!
I just threw some stuff on the shelves to see what it would look like. They will have to be bare for awhile until we get our newborn pics!!!

I love the quilt stand and it fits perfect right there!

I can't wait to paint the rectangle above her bed and hang the Hannah sign in it. Right now the Hannah sign is sitting on one of the red shelves awaiting its placement. We just couldn't get it all done today!
Oh my goodness!! I just love our baby girl's room!! I can't stop going in there and looking at it. My mom came out this weekend to help me organize and put the finishing touches on everything. She is more OCD than I am when it comes to organizing and putting things away so I knew she was the one for the job. She was such a great help, after working all morning and into the afternoon today I can finally say that everything is in its place. I am most excited about Hannah's closet and how organized it is. I found the perfect shelves with cute brown linen drawers to put all her little odds and ends in. We even bought a shoe organizer and her little shoes fit perfectly in each little cubby hole. LOVE IT!! I know I am a dork but I love organizing. We also worked hard on the decor in the room. We almost have everything hung. We found the perfect deep red shelves at Hobby Lobby to put above her dresser and we hung the picture that matches her bedding. I must say everything looks amazing. Now the shelves are just waiting for a few pictures of her and some little knick-knacks here and there. I have also decided to paint a light brown rectangle above her crib and hang the Hannah name sign we got yesterday in it (there is a picture of the sign in the blog from the Oklahoma Shower). I can finally say I feel as prepared as I can for her arrival. I just love, love, love her room!!!

Shoe storage for now...if she takes after me she will need way more room than this!!

Her tutu and Going Home Outfit!! The drawers are FILLED with bows, ribbons, hats and headbands. Our daughter will be ALL girl!!! :)

Dresses, Dresses and More Dresses!!

AHHH!!! Organization!!!

Oklahoma Shower!

This weekend we had our Oklahoma shower. It was so much fun, I got to spend time with lots of good friends and Hannah got lots of stuff for her nursery. Lauren, Heather and Tara threw the shower and they did an awesome job. They decorated the fire place with a clothes line of Hannah's clothes and had lots of yummy food. Tara came up with the cutest idea to have people write messages on her diapers, that way when we are changing the diaper in the middle of the night we have something to smile about!! I can't wait to read them all, I decided not to look right now so that they are a surprise later. Lauren came up with two games, one was a celebrity baby to mom matching game, I did not do well, I guess I am not really in the know. We also measured how big around my belly was and I am proud to say that I am 38 inches and growing, Miss Hannah is definitely making her presence known!! I don't want to know how many inches I have left to go YIKES!! I was really excited because my mom was already flying in this weekend for our last mother-daughter time without the baby so she was able to meet lots of the people I have met and talk about here in Oklahoma. She always likes to have a face to match with the name. Shawn's mom was also able to drive up from Texas. It was a really fun day of family, friends and baby talk...Thanks girls!!

Diapers & Wipes Shower!!

Some of the resident wives threw me and 2 other ladies and joint diapers and wipes shower this weekend. We had lots of fun and I will tell you that Hannah is now good on the diaper front for quite awhile :) I am really not sure where we are going to put all the diapers and wipes that we got. I think I am going to have to convince Shawn to go to Target with me later today so that we can pick out some shelves for the garage. We are so greatful to everyone for helping us get our collection started. The part that really scares me is that they said the large amount of diapers we got really won't last long at all...YIKES!!

The 2 ladies that threw the shower did a wonderful job. The decorated everything with pink and blue. I am having a girl but the other 2 ladies are having boys. It was cute to see all the pink and blue mixed together. They made little signs with our last names and placed them in different corners of the room for the gifts. My favorite part were the pink and blue cupcakes, yum!! It was a lot of fun to have a couples shower, I liked having Shawn be there to share in the fun!!

The Nursery is Coming Along!!

Well Shawn has been on call several nights this week, so I have been trying to find ways to pass the time. Well of course the first thing that came to mind was to work on the nursery and get everything set up. I was so excited to get the bedding and lamp at my last shower and could barely wait to put it all together. I will tell you that I thought making the crib was going to be rather easy...but I was much mistaken. I think they should have a baby class on that!! I could not believe how hard it was to get all the different pieces on the mattress. I know they are trying to make everything tight and secure so the baby is safe, but geez!! Once I accomplished that task, everything else was pretty smooth sailing. Now that it is done...I have to save I love it even more!!!! I can't wait to decorate the walls. I am so excited my mom was able to come out next week to help. We are going to have lots of fun finding shelves and nick-knacks to fill them!!! Now each time I pass the room I have to look in just to marvel at the cuteness :) Can't wait to post more pictures when it is all done.

What to do with so many bath tubs???

This past weekend I had my Texas shower. It was so good to travel down there and see old friends. My friend Kelli did a wonderful job of decorating for the shower, she is so creative. I couldn't believe how well she matched the shower decor to our baby bedding. We got lots of great things at the shower. The funniest part was that we got 4 bath tubs. I am not sure what happened with the Target registry, but apparently they don't update things like they should. So...Hannah is going to be a very clean little girl ha ha. We also go lots of precious clothes and some fun toys. My mother in law got us our crib bedding and my mom got us the lamp to match. Now we have almost everything to finish decorating the nursery.

32 Weeks and Counting!!

31 Weeks
32 Weeks

Well we have made it to 32 weeks. I feel like we are on the down hill slope. We have been working hard a decorating the nursery, we finally have most of the bedding and accessories. Now I just need to work on the wall decor, which I know will be the hardest part. I have been feeling really good. It is getting harder and harder to get up and Shawn makes fun of me all the time. It is pretty hysterical watching me try and get up off our comfy couch. I cannot imagine what the next few weeks will bring, but I know they will all be worth it!!
Shawn has been more and more excited these days. He loves to hold my belly and feel her move. He tells me all the time that he can't wait for her to get here. It puts a smile on my face every time. I can't wait to see him for the first time with our little girl. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Ahhh the emotions of a pregnant woman. I am very greatful for his confidence and excitement. If you know me at all, you can imagine that I am full of worries and am a bit anxious for the actual D-Day to arrive. I am so excited to be a mom but it is a bit overwhelming to think about at times. There is a no return policy on this whole baby thing, so we are in it for the long hall. :) I am so greatful to have Shawn it my life and I am excited to see what our journey as parents brings.
