Hannah's Nursery

Well after much deliberation I was finally able to pick a paint color for Hannah's room. I love to paint as many of you may know, however, I am terrible when it comes to making a decision on the color. I get so nervous that it is going to turn out totally different than I thought. But Hannah's room turned out PERFECT!!! The shade of yellow we picked looks so good with the crib and the pieces of her bedding we have gotten, I can't wait to get the rest to see the finished product!!

Shawn and I spent all day on Sunday painting and putting the furniture together. He had to work on Saturday night so he was not very happy that I woke him up early Sunday afternoon to get started, but he was a great camp!! It was so much fun spending the day together, just the two of us preparing for our daughters arrival. I know she won't know it right away but lots of love and attention has gone into that room. I just can't help but stop and look in each time I pass by. Soon enough I will be peering in to see our sweet baby sleeping, can't wait!!
Shawn painting and loving it as you can tell by his face.Putting the crib together

Pretending like I had anything to do with putting the crib together ha ha.

Colorado Baby Shower

I had my first baby shower on the January 16th, it was so much fun to share my excitement with family and close friends. I am so greatful for all the people that have blessed my life along the way. I know they have helped mold me into the wonderful mom I plan to be. I cannot wait to bring Hannah home to introduce to everyone!! We are so thankful for all the wonderful gifts we received. They have really helped Hannah's nursery get off to a great start. I will say she is not lacking in the clothing department either, we got lots of cute dresses, hats, and outfits. My friend Kelly had the wonderful idea to buy onesies and have each person decorate one for Hannah with fabric pens. Now we have a great stock of onesies, which I hear you use a lot of, but now each one has a special message or drawing from a friend:) I know each time I put her in one I will think of the person that made it.

A pillow that matches my bedding!!! My mom got me lots of pieces to our bedding to help decorate Hannah's nursery, we are so greatful!!

Mary, Aunt Barb, Grandma, Grammie, Judy, Mom and Me...it was so good to see everyone!!
My wonderful friend Kelly threw me the beautiful shower. Kelly, Megan, Kacie, Amanda, Me at the onesie decorating table...so fun!!

A Few of My Favorite Things!!

These are the first dresses that we bought when we found out we were having a girl!! I am so excited to be able to dress her up!! Shawn keeps reminding me she is not a doll, but I sure think she is going to look like one in all the precious outfits we've been getting!! I can't wait to see her in everything, maybe we will have a little fashion show!!
We bought this for Hannah's newborn pictures. We found an amazing photographer and I cannot wait to take Hannah in. I told Shawn I didn't care what other shots she got but I had this picture in my mind of Hannah wearing a big fluffy tutu that just swallowed her up. When we were in Colorado we found this at a store with the little headband to match, which was exactly what I was picturing. I know the pictures are going to turn out wonderful!! Shawn says Hannah is going to have to wear the tutu on her first day of school and lots of other events to get our moneys worth ha ha. I know it will be worth it when we get those first pictures.

Daddy's First Gift To His Little Girl!

For Christmas Shawn bought Hannah and me matching Ugg boots!! He said the only reason I got mine was because she needed a pair :) They are the sweetest, littlest things you have ever seen. I can't wait for her to wear them next winter!! I think we are going to have to do a family picture for our Christmas card next year wearing them!! I think Shawn is getting more and more excited for her arrival and he has begun to embrace the fact that we are having a girl. He helps me look at clothing and even offers his input. He keeps saying he is in big trouble because he is not going to be able to say no to her. I can't wait to see him with her because I know he is going to be a wonderful dad!!

Hannah got lots of other gifts from her Grandparents, she is going to be one spoiled little girl. I can only imagine what next year will bring when she is actually here.

Growing Belly!!

Well my belly seems to be growing by the day according to Shawn. I have started feeling her more and more which is so exciting. I am addicted to feeling her move!! She seems to be getting stronger because I can see my belly move sometimes if she kicks hard enough. I just stare at my belly wondering what is going on in there. I know she needs to stay in there for a few more months but I just cannot wait for her arrival!!
